CAIR California, the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights organization, is asking California Gov.

    Gavin Newsom to halt the lottery system’s expansion.

    The new $1 million prize will be announced on October 1.

    “The state of California is facing a crisis of unprecedented proportions as we speak,” said Ibrahim Hooper, Executive Director of CAIR-California.

    “We know that there are no easy solutions.

    We know that the state of this country is facing an economic crisis that we cannot afford to ignore.”

    The news comes a week after CAIR released its annual state of the union report, which said that more than 30 percent of the state government was run by people of color, and nearly half of the workforce was Latino.

    The news has sparked concerns that California will see a significant increase in the number of cases of coronavirus over the next week.
